What Clean Beauty Means to Us

It means formulated without parabens and formaldehyde – including traces – phthalates, mineral oil, gluten, synthetic dyes, sulfates (SLS/SLES), nonylphenol ethoxylates, oxybenzone, retinyl palmitate, hydroquinone, triclosan, triclocarban, BHA, and BHT.

Why Do We Avoid These Ingredients?

Currently, the U.S. bans very few chemicals from cosmetics. We choose to do better. We do not put the ingredients listed above in our products because they have been associated with an increased risk of things like cancer, hormone disruption, and birth defects. We want to be good partners in your wellness journey, despite what the laws might allow.

Our product development team carefully reviews all ingredients that go into our products and makes adjustments to improve both their efficacy and safety as research evolves.

Clean Energy + Sustainability

Our commitment to wellness doesn’t end with our products. We’re also actively working to reduce our carbon footprint. We added 4,700 solar panels to the roof of our headquarters. This significant investment allows us to generate approximately 1.4 megawatts of clean solar energy. We’ve also been awarded for our recycling efforts–we recycled over 34 tons in 2020 alone.
